Complex research becomes clear and actionable
When Smith & Nephew was seeking insights into their value stream, Kaleidoscope’s expertise in both medical design and user experience made us a natural fit.
Our task was to understand an existing product lifecycle, visualize all the touch points, and identify complications. We immersed in context, closely observed the products in their environment, interviewed the people who handle them, and mapped the transportation routes they took.
By visualizing the research through a dynamic systems map, we were able to define inefficiencies and pain points along the distribution and delivery system. Supporting graphics were created to suggest systemic improvements.
Because of key opportunities that Kaleidoscope identified for advancements in the system, Smith & Nephew was able to re-envision the entire product and service landscape.
